Step 1: Species Identification
Different ant species respond to different treatments. What works on fire ants won’t work on odorous house ants, and carpenter ants need a different approach entirely. We identify what you’re dealing with first, so the treatment we use is the one that’s actually going to work.
Step 2: Interior Bait Placement
Baits go along active trails and near the areas where ants are concentrated. The bait is designed so workers carry it back and feed it to the rest of the colony, including the queen. No queen, no new ants. Where needed, we treat wall voids, cracks, and plumbing penetrations directly. This is where the colony-level kill happens.
Step 3: Perimeter Treatment
We treat the foundation perimeter and the areas around doors and windows to cut off the paths ants are using to get inside. Fire ant mounds in the yard get targeted directly. The goal is to stop new ants from following the same trails back into your home while the bait works through the colony.
Step 4: Follow-Up
Bait takes time to work through a colony, usually one to three weeks, depending on the species and colony size. If you’re still seeing trailing activity after that window, call or text us. We come back, reassess, and adjust at no additional charge.

The whole process takes 30–45 minutes, depending on the size of your home and the scope of the problem. We’ll walk you through what we found, what we treated, and what to expect over the next couple of weeks.
After
Bait-based treatments work over days, not hours. You may still see some ant activity for the first week or two as workers carry product back to the colony, that’s actually a sign it’s working. If you’re still seeing new trails after two to three weeks, call or text us. We’ll come back and figure out what changed, no additional charge.
